Assist with Personal Daily Activities 0107
Personal care support may be required in various settings, including a participant’s own home, with family or other people, during social, recreational, educational, or employment activities, or even while on holidays away from home. Support the participant to complete daily domestic activities that they may need assistance with such as:
Personal Hygiene:
- Showering, bathing, and oral hygiene
- Dressing and grooming
Toileting:
- Assistance with bladder and bowel management
- Menstrual care
Meal Assistance:
- Support with eating and drinking
Mobility Assistance:
- Transferring (e.g., moving in and out of bed, getting on or off the toilet).
- Use of aids and appliances (such as hearing devices or communication aids)
Attending Appointments:
- Assistance to attend medical, therapy, or other appointments
Basic First Aid:
- Providing basic first aid due to injuries related to a participant’s disability
Assist with Travel/ Transport Arrangement 0108
Support participants to utilise specialist transport to travel in their community to places such as:
- School
- Educational facilities
- Work
- Visiting family and friends
Community Nursing Care 0114
Advance care supplied by a Registered Nurse in their home, such as:
- Coordinate medication
- Wound care
- 24/7 nursing care
- Blood pressure, temperature and blood sugar levels monitoring
- After hospital stay follow ups
- Diabetes management
Assistance with Daily Life Tasks in a Group or SL Arrangement 0115
Support participants to further develop their skills or complete daily life tasks in a shared living arrangement.
- Basic household tasks
- Self Care
- Arrange for residency in-order to transition to independent living
Innovative Community Participation 0116
Support participants to participate in community activities of their choice. This can include:
- Dancing at clubs and Cultural Community Centres
- Going to the Pub
- Going to the beach
Participation in Community, Social and Civic Services 0125
Support participants to participate in community, social and recreational activities of their choosing, such as:
- Local gatherings
- Festivals
- Workshops
Development of Daily Living and Life Skills 0117
Support participants to further develop their daily living and life skills.
This can include:
- Cooking: Further develop participants ability to Meal planning, shopping for groceries while adhering to a budget and cooking
- Travel Training: Further develop participants skills to catch public transport
- Cleaning: Further develop participants skills to clean their home
- Hygiene: Further develop participants personal care skills such as showering, toileting, period hygiene and skin care
Household Tasks 0120
Support participants to complete household tasks such as:
- Cleaning
- Washing dishes
- Washing clothes
- Ironing
Management of Funding for Supports in Participants’ Plans 0127
Support participants to manage funds in their NDIS plan by being their Plan Manager.
Plan Management can assist by:
- Paying providers (invoices)
- Get NDIS plan budget reports and greater budget oversight
- Learn how to self-manage your NDIS plan
- Increase your financial and plan management skills
Specialised Support Employment 0133
Support participants to identify their current educational achievements, skills and interests. We then explore opportunities to assist participants to pursue their employment goals.
Group and Centre Based Activities 0136
Support participants to engage in group activities to enable them to socialise and participate in activities of their interest. These activities are organised to promote social interaction, skill development, and a sense of belonging among participants.
